The Slate House:

We now have 3 new ground floor studios tucked away in " The Slate House" - the building just across from the main house (adjoining the owners house), two of which back onto a small garden.

Simpler in style, with iron or wooden kingsize beds, floor boards, and big rugs; one with free standing bath and two with wet rooms. Each has a tv with dvd player, and "beach hut" style kitchenette with fridge, sink, microwave, kettle & toaster.

Sleeps 2 adults (with room for 1 child in a cot or z bed)

Number 1 has an enclosed terrace and wet room with shower
Number 2 has a terrace (leading to small shared garden) and wet room with shower.
Number 3 has a terrace (leading to small shared garden) and bathroom with free standing bath.

We accept dogs in The Slate House.
1 dog per studio. £10 charge per night. (Subject to a few house rules!)

The Slate House studios do not interconnect.

Seasons:

At certain times of year we do have a minimum stay requirement.
low season: 11 February to April (including February half term), October to December (excluding Christmas holidays).
high season: May half term, July to mid September (minimum 3 nights)
mid & off peak seasons: Half terms, May, June and mid to end of September.
Christmas & New Year 2010: to be confirmed.

Rental rates include:
accommodation in an apartment (we do not make a charge for extra beds or cots for babies and children), welcome bottle of mineral water, a bottle of milk and store cupboard ingredients: English breakfast tea, Earl Grey tea, fresh coffee, sugar, salt and pepper & olive oil.

Apartments and suites are serviced daily.
Pool towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels).

Booking Notes and Conditions
Rental rates are nightly for your apartment for up to 7 nights. If you stay 7 nights we offer a weekly rate.
Regretfully we cannot always accept 1 or 2 night bookings. Most apartments are booked by the week during the summer holidays, but the minimum stay is 3 nights.
Additional children/occasional extra guests are charged for.
Bookings must be accompanied by a credit card and a deposit of 30% is charged. The deposit is non refundable.
Full pre payment is required at certain times of year.
We accept payment by debit card, credit card (except Diners) and cash.
It may be necessary to amend prices, facilities or services and the times that they are offered.
Late arrivals by prior arrangement.
Winter opening varies.
Sorry we do not accept pets in the main house.
Regretfully damage/stained furnishings and furniture will be charged for if we are unable to clean them in house.
Smoking is not allowed on the property.

 

Sundays
Our team has Sunday evening off and the dining room is closed.
The pool closes at 4pm and the office closes at 5pm. We are unable to accept arrivals after this time.

Cancellation
Once a booking is confirmed, our cancellation policy requires 1 month’s notice and 2 month’s notice for bookings which fall into the high season. Cancellation includes shortening or moving booking dates. Bookings cancelled within the cancellation period will be charged for in full less any pre paid amount and VAT.

If you need to amend a booking outside of the cancellation period we will do our best to help you subject to suitable availability.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking at anytime in the event of circumstances beyond our control. In the unlikely event of this happening we will refund all money received by us in relation to your booking, however we will not be liable for any further loss incurred by you as a result of the cancellation.

We recommend you take out appropriate holiday cancellation insurance.

How "Time Well Spent" works
A £1 voluntary donation will be added to your bill at the end of your stay. You can opt not to pay this - or to pay more if you wish. 100% of your donation will go directly to fund the work of the National Trust in this area.
The Rosevine will be making a similar donation.
